Absolutely can't wait until week 2 to watch Favre have one of his trademark 4 or 5 pick games against the Pats.

Meh.  Can't wait to see Rodgers play.  Oh, and of course am looking forward to the Pats continuing to kill the Jets.
Celtics fan for life.

This trade is huge for the Jets, really puts them over the top. Makes them top 12, maybe top 10 in the AFC. I'm now genuinely worried that the Pats won't be able to take the weakest division in football.

does not make sense for me at all, the pats wil still kill the jets.
this just proves 2 things for me:

the packers have no loyalty what so ever, Brett is the best QB for them currently, talented team that made NFC finals.

also: Brett knowing that the packers dont want him back, clearly went for the money, just imagine the money he will make from indorsements in NYC. (i for some reason believed that he wanted to play for the love of the game, but signing with the Jets over Tampa clearly was a money issue, which he wil get plenty of)

I'm not sure my subtle use of sarcasm was detected, but here are some teams that potentially could have better seasons than the Jets:

New England
Indianapolis
Cincinnati
Denver
Houston
Pittsburgh
San Diego
Jacksonville
Tennessee

Breaking news - ESPN is reporting that Favre had seen Patriots personnel recording his latest Wranglers commmercial in which Favre plays touch football.

Seriously...Favre to the Jets won't matter.  The only difference this makes is the amount of money he'll make this year...and, that's what this whole unretirement has been about.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue... natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response. No. Not vengeance. Punishment.

Nothing I hated more than when the media would say after the KG trade, "the most important thing is that the Celtics are relevant again".  No, it definitely wasn't.  The most important thing was that they became a title contender, and subsequently won the title.

In the Jets' case, however, that line is true.  They're not going to do anything, but they weren't going to do anything without Favre.  At least now, people will pay attention to them.

This is an excellent move for the patriots defensive backs. They are young and can use the experience of picking off passes in regular season games.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

At least the Packers get something for having had to deal with all the stupidity.

Jets can be very dangerous.

They have already added Kris Jenkins, Alan Faneca, Damien Woody and Calvin Pace

They now have a strong front to both the offense and the defense.

WC contender.
