Taylor to the Redskins for a 2nd next year and a 6th in 2010. Not a bad haul for 2 years of a great d-lineman for the 'Skins.
It seems like this trade opened the gates for others as well, as Jeremy Shockey will be a Saint next year (another dangerous target for Brees, completing a multi-faceted passing game where he has big threat receivers at every skill position). Shockey was traded for 2nd and 5th round picks, commanding a greater haul than Taylor.
This likely sets the tone for any Favre trade - 2 draft picks could get it done, and the Bucs have got to be a bit more interested now.
