My favorite "type" of play was the around-the-horn passing the Celtics displayed on offense.

he team approach finding the open guy was flat out amazing.  Sometimes they passed one too many times, but I'd rather the team error in working together than error by going it alone.
I love my kids, call me a sap - it's true.

As far as specific plays, my two favorite of the year were Rondo's dunk in the Detroit game and the Ray Allen up and under layup against the Lakers (especially cool in the slow motion video shown on the first page of this thread).

But as far as a general play, I love when Ray Allen is spotting up for a three.  Everyone in the Garden gets on the edge of their seat as he catches it, ready to explode when it goes in.  As he was breaking out of the slump in the playoffs, this electricity was about 3x what it normally was.  It is really fun to experience.

While they aren't my overall favorites, I also feel I should give props to some of my favorites from other players:

-Paul Pierce's spin through the lane for a layup with contact that is never called
-KG's 19 footer, either swish or off glass
-Big Baby's footwork and touch to score on guys way more athletic than him
-Leon Powe's offensive rebound and-one
-Perkins taking 2.9 seconds to gather himself with the ball under the hoop and then going up for the slam.  It is either awesome or I yell for him to just go up with it when he catches it.

Any Ray 3 pointer

Eddie catch and shoot 3

Powe or Baby taking a charge

Perk or KG collapsing and forcing a guard into a tough fadeaway

KG with a strong move in the paint

Perk hook shots

Paul making a shot when you think he's out of control and getting fouled(could apply to last 10 seasons)

Celts' textbook team defense rotations were beautiful to watch.

for much of the season, you would see the opponents show excellent ball movement only to find a Celtic defender rotating over to cover every subsequent pass or penetration. just beautiful to watch for a basketball purist.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

my favorite play is when kg faked the pass against atlanta and turned, having the basket free, drove and dunked. the announcer said, goodbye and kg dunked it.
