As soon as I read the OP Rajon Rondo came to mine.  I think this one would be my favorite of his on the year, slightly behind breaking Nash's ankles

While looking for that one I found the Pierce facial on Camby, another one of my favorites of the year

"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I like the one where Doc tells Scal, ok its time to go in, he takes off his warmups, heads over to the scorer's table, and then Doc takes a timeout and makes Scal sit on the bench and doesn't put him in - its good to get the redheads hopes up sometimes and just toy with his emotions...

Not that that happened, but it'd be cool if it did

One thing that I did love was when KG was so pumped defensively that he'd get into his "cobra" stance... that was awesome!

I've watched this clip about 10,000 times, so I think it's my favorite from the postseason.

this one was awesome because of the dunk 1st and KG's reaction second - wish I could find the whole thing

My favorite was during the Cleveland series at home, I'm not sure which game it was.  I believe it was Game 2.

The ball was loose and guys were all over the floor, including KG.  Well somebody got a hand on the ball, KG ran the floor, got half court pass and just jammed it home.  It basically put together all the elements of the 07-08 Celtics; Tommy points everywhere, great passing, KG dunking all over - Team Basketball.  ANDDDD... The Garden went crazy.
Who said the East was the JV conference? See you next year, Mr. Bryant!

  • KG is da Man
I have to go with Ray Allen's open 3s, opposition should know better, they should always almost put super glue between him and them.

But individual play-wise, I prefer KG's defence on Pau (I think) game 6 of Finals when he used one hand to tangle up and force a jump ball against Pau (who was using 2 hands and looked like about to go up for a shot) and that psyched him and the whole crowd up and the Celtics never looked back, who says defence is not fun to watch lol.
Anything is possible!!!

  • Hinrich sucks, Deng sucks, Bulls suck, I'm out.
This is an awesome thread. I hate to say it, but it's obvious that some of the awesomeness of this season burnt off in my mind; it's nice to have a reminder of how special the season was.

There was no better side show to the season, than the Celtics snubbing out the knicks, like every time we played them.

Because I'm a Rondo fan, pretty much everything he did was a top 5 of the season in my book, but that kg block and ray allen bocat stunner were in the top two, and maybe that swift perk dribble is number three.... its hard to choose, just such an awesome season.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
So many things.

KG spazzing out and looking like a maniac
- It makes you think "How can we lose with this guy on our team. He won't  Let us lose"

Ray Allen in Crunch Time
- No matter how crappy his game could be going when it's the deciding minutes he's basically automatic. Honestly one of the most clutch players i've ever watched

Rajon Rondo's big games
- Anytime Rondo has a huge game it's almost like he's everywhere on the floor. This guy is showing us that he could possibly make an all-star game or before his career is all said and done. In my mind, Rondo making an all-star game is a given he just has to figure some things out.

Play-off Pierce - Some classic performances from the Captain. In my opinion, he was the key to the team learning to win on the road. When the team offense stagnated he was the well we went to when we hadn't been earlier. The finals should've ended in game 5 when Pierce came up with a huge 38pt. performance, but hey we ended it at home can't complain too much.

Great teams make many great plays.
It's hard to single out any one.
I do have to "Go a little w/ Powe, though"

that bobcat game and buzzer beater was a microcosm of ray allens entire season this last year. sacrificed shots, had some troubles at times with consistency shooting wise but when you needed him, when you absolutely NEEDED a big shot...he was there. when he struggled throughout the early rounds of the playoffs especially in cleveland the rest of the team picked up the slack and then in the finals...he was THERE. a great player and an even classier human being.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

I Love Rondo. I think he's got a great chance to be an all-star at some point in his career, maybe even next year with his continuing improvement.

The Play of the Year has to be:

Game 5, series tied 2-2, 2:42 left in the half, Celts down 31-43, 2 seconds left on the shot clock and Rajon Rondo nails the 3 to spark an 8-0 run to get the Celts back in the crucial game of the championship run.
