I'm not saying I'm for or against this idea. I do remember how the C's hung on to the first Big 3 and it set them back years. I would have to say that if Danny could make a deal that might help the team down the road, then he has to do it because he has to do what is right for the team in the long run.
That said, I look for Ray to have a great year, and then be dealt in the 09/10 year when he is an expiring contract.
