i know this all occurs on opening night but my question is, what about those players (such as posey) who won't be on the team next year? do they just get their rings mailed to them or something?

well A) last I checked Posey's still unsigned, so don't make assumptions yet!

B) my experience with other sports has been guys have either come in for the ring ceremony (assuming they don't have a game) or they have got their rings when their team comes to play - so IF Posey ended up on the cavs, the first time the cavs come to town, they'd do a little thing either before the game or at halftime to acknowledge his contributions
