Just read this in Hoopshype.  Does this mean that if Brand signs with Warriors, the Clips will have more to spend on Maggette?

It was brands idea to get baron davis to go to the clippers. He opted out to open up more salary cap to get a better player in there to help. Hes not going to go to Warriors, he will probably resign with the Clippers by the end of the day.

Maggette will not be back with the clippers, the spurs are the biggest threat with orlando also a threat.

looks like we have a good old fashioned in state rivalry brewing. I think Brand would be perfect for the G-State system because of his rebounding and ability to finish.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Clippers re-retaliate by offering Tim Hardaway Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullins max contracts. Sterling down after being told none of them are still in the league as players.

That's funny because I think Brand is the total opposite of a Nelly system.

Al Harrington or Stephen Jackson at the PF spot is better than Elton Brand for Nelly's system.

I'm not sure LA would go after Maggette, even if they had the money.  It seems more likely they'd chase after Okafor, Deng or Josh Smith.

haha. this is some hilarious stuff. I don't think Brand takes the offer, because i think he and Davis went into this together. But if he does pull a "boozer" on Davis and sign with GS, then do the Clippers immediately sign Monta Ellis.  ;D  Living in Santa cruz the past couple yrs, this would add a lot to the whole Nor cal/ So Cal rivalry.  I still predict brand stays with LA

Plans change when it comes to leaving 20 million dollars or more on the table.

golden state should sign Maggette too?  Then the clips should sign Monta.

Real GM is saying that the deal is in the $75-85 million range
