Interesting piece.
Both Ford and Holinger did horribly as
you might have guessed.
How could they be so off on so many picks?

Is there a link to that story?
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Perhaps it depends on the objective of a mock draft.  Is it a) to try to predict who will go to which team or b) to try to rank the talent.

I never look at those mocks, though Ford usually does ok.  hollinger is a stat freak and doesn't look at anything else.

Seattle taking Westbrook at 4 through a lot of mocks out of whack.

Draftexpress had the first 8 picks spot on.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

I think you forgot the link ;)

Last year Ford was far worse than DX, I'm not surprised to see him doing poorly again.

Ford at least has said that he bases his mocks on what he thinks teams will do, not the way he would do it. I guess that's why he's not a GM.
