If Cuban was willing to do something this idiotic...(such as trading for Kidd in the first place), hopefully he had the decency to sign Carlisle to a guaranteed contract.

Kind of makes sense for both teams: Marbury and a young guy for Kidd and a pick.

Dallas failed in the playoffs because their system requires a shooting PG; the Knicks need a pass first PG.  Could Kidd make Eddy Curry great?

Is this the "I love the 90's" thread?

  • Thanks Red
Knicks would win this trade, just the pure action of getting rid of Marbury would help the knicks.

If the New York Knicks spontaneously disappeared would the world be a better place?  Would anyone even notice?  Care?

I hate Kidd, like really hate him, but he is 100 times the player Marbury is now. Like, at least Marbury did the Starbury shoe thing for Steve and Barry's (totally not enough padding in the heel btw, in any of the models), but his game is so far over the hill. He might turn it around slightly with D'Antoni in town, but it would take a lot more than Marbury for Kidd straight up.

And as for Dallas needing a shooting pg- they already have the ultimate one in Jason Terry. They are a solid team, as is.

Remember Starbury wants to retire in Italy or something like that, we'll see how that goes

Kidd 100 times Marbury? I am not sure. They're both coach killers: one kills fast and in public, one kills behind the scenes.

Why would anyone trade for Marbury when rumors out of NY are that the Knicks are going to but out of Marbury's contract.

That would be like investing money in the Italian Lira a day before the Euro became legal tender.

The point is to note the fact that Marbury and Kidd are both cancerous - but skilled - players.
