holy wow, this site has been my go-to draft site for the solid part of this decade, and I think this is the first cosmetic change its undergone in maybe 7 years.  looks good, but that was a morning shock.

they now have the c's taking Hickson, don't know much about him

Makes zero sense to me to go after a 6'9'' power forward, especially when Lee and Walker are still on the board among others.

I live in NC and am an NC State fan and know about JJ fairly well.  He has excellent back to the basket post up moves.  However, he is sort of redundant to Leon in my opinion.

However, JJ will be LONG gone by #30 as rumors have him perhaps moving into the top 20.

Toronto worked out JJ Hickson twice. They're picking at #17.

He doesn't make much sense for the Raptors but clearly they're interested.

Hmm... I never understood why would anyone prefer nbadraft.net to DX. Why is it so?

3 things for me:

1. they give an NBA comparison for players -- helpful as a starting point
2. they provide a more easily digestible strengths/weakness -- DX has so much info sometimes its buried
3. NBADraft.net has been around longer...

that said, i read both.

Nbadraft.net has a draft history section, so that if I want to see who was taken with the 7th pick in 1984 I can look it up there.  And while DraftExpress has more comprehensive player evaluations, NBAdraft.net's final mocks are often closer than what happens in the actual draft.  IMHO Jon Givorney, the proprietor of DraftExpress,  gets carried away by hype on occasion, just as Chad Ford tends to overvalue international players.

Thanks for answering.
1. I think DX also does it. They give a best/worst case comparison. But this is a tool I really dislike and find pretty useless (some comparisons, in both sites, don't make any sense).
2. Yeah, but I think they oversimplify the evaluation doing it. And they don't update the evaluations enough.
3. Can't argue with that.

Anyway, I guess it's essentially a matter of personal preference.

Not last year. DX was the most accurate mockdraft. (I've done the math in another thread).

Like I have said before...I just don't feel that the scouting reports on DX are all that accurate.  I think when nbadraft.net is up to date (which admittedly is rare), their analysis is a bit better.

I also just like the layout of their mock drafts, and how they have the draft history.
