Donte Green @ 25  :o

I'd try to move up for him.

I highly doubt he falls that far though.

Please don't. The only good thing about picking his homonym was that we didn't give up anything to move up. Dontee is a taller, slightly less athletic, slightly more talented version of Gerald. I've only seen him playing once and I'm positive about this. Not the brightest player in this draft. Not the kind of player than can be useful in this team.

Mock drafts are useless after about pick 4. That is how the dog barks virtually every year. We have no idea who will be available at #30.

For some ambiguous reason, Brandon Rush might be there. He is not likely to be available past 20, but you just cannot anticipate the ways of the draft by a "mock draft."

Fact: When you look back at past mock drafts, they almost never give an accurate portrayal of what really occurs DURING the draft.

Never mind the fact that Chad Ford is a clown who NOBODY with a brain should pay money to read. There are several posters on this board and who blog on this site who would do a more respectable job. The sad part is that I'm not joking.

Here are last year mock drafts. I added the number of positions the picks were off (0 when dead on):

28. Alando Tucker - 1
29. Gabe Pruitt - 3
30. Sean Williams - 13

With a few exceptions - Byars, Glenn Davis, Gasol, McRoberts, Thaddeus Young - that was a fairly solid job.

Also, I like to read Chad Ford. He doesn't know much about basketball, especially about talent-evaluation, as one can find reading his scouting about freshmen players at the start of the season and some dumb things he keeps repeating, but he's smart enough to catch up other scouting reports (to some extent, he just wrote that Koufos is good-shooting big man, when Koufos can't hit a contested shot to save his life). And he's very good gathering inside information.
