What ever happenbed to the "let's not pick all superstars and instead let's pick some role players" idea?  Glad to see they stayed strong with that idea.

Way to build a team around four guys with similar skills that just don;t fit well together (Kobe/James/Melo/Wade)


Of course the important role players (Prince defense, Redd shooting) play the same position.  






I am just happy there are no Celtics.  After a long post season, like to see them rest up for another long post season.

They need some more centers on that roster. No Duncan, but couldn't they find at least one big man other than Howard?

This team shouldn't lose one game and most of the time should be winning by 25 or more. That said, given the egotistical, it's all about me attitude of several of the players, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up out of the gold.

At least 4-5 of the players that will be getting big time minutes are players I would never want on my team
and it will irk the ever living hell out of me to cheer for them as they represent my country.

I am not blown away by the big men here. 

Personally I think this team will be most successful if they play Melo at the 4.  In the international game, you need to have that versatility out there.

I do love that Redd and Prince are on the team though.  Those guys I think are going to be very important to this team's success.

good point, Wallace would be great on this team. I agree that Odom is built for international play, but I wouldn't put a guy with no heart on my team.

Other than Kidd and Carmelo, I don't have a huge problem with it.  I would have seriously considered putting Big Al on the team; who's going to stop him on the block?

Odom isn't a good enough shooter.  Rasheed definitely is. 

I can't wait until 2012 though.  Kevin Love will be incredible to watch in the international game.
