I have been attempting to get a copy of Ray's ad, but have been unsuccessful so far.

Here's what Boston.com wrote back,

Good Morning:

Thank you for writing to Boston.com. We agree that this advertisement has public
service value, but we unfortunately cannot feature it online due to policy
issues.

However, our editorial team is keeping tabs on Ray Allen and diabetes advocacy.
If appropriate, they might publish stories on this topic in the future.

Kind regards,

In other words, it's an advertisement, and since Ray didn't pay to put it online, it's not going online.

yup.  I just emailed the Globe asking as a long time subscriber for an electronic copy of the ad.  We will see what type of customer service they have.

I'd love to get a copy but unfortunately, they don't sell the Globe in Florida.  It just shows what a classy guy Ray is.

Agree.... anyone with the paper and a scanner could upload it to imageshack in a matter of minutes.  Anyone?  Anyone?  Surely many TPs would follow.

I tried, the ad was too big for my scanner.  (I am hoping the globe emails me the ad)

Could you scan it in parts and upload multiple images?

Tommy Point for you CIMIT for posting it.  Thank you from those of us out of the area who couldn't get a copy of the Globe.  Much appreciated.   Very classy move on the part of Ray Allen.

Thanks heaps CIMIT,

This truely cements Ray Allen as a class act, I'm really glad his son is okay and got diagnosed early on like he did. It's a great thing that he has adressed the awarness issue straight after the incident with his son and winning the championship. Hopefully this will translate into more exposure in the media and public eye.
