One thing I noticed and meant to post a thread about during the playoffs was a probably intended benefit, on KG's part, to not go down low or go after offensive boards every possession. And that is, transition defense... he gets back before the other team comes down more than any big I've seen, and you better believe Farmer, Fisher, or even Kobe will think a lot harder about a fast break layup when KG is meeting him at the rim than when Rondo or Allen is.
Sometimes he seemed a little bit TOO focused on getting back in transition... but it's interesting to think of how many more fast break and transition baskets the Celtics might have given up if KG had been sacrificing him D to go at the offensive glass or fight in the post but not get the ball.
