And Danny Ainge....

The crowd was as loud as i've ever heard tonight. The Lakers didn't stand a chance!!!

From the TrueHoop liveblog: Henry Abbot at the game, (with about 3 minutes left or so):

"Loud. Loud. Loud. Reverberating in my chest it's so loud."

Great crowd!

BTW it was great that the WHOLE CROWD (nobody left) was chanting DE-FENSE when Stu was interviewing Doc.  That was probably the best part of the whole experience.

With Pierce doing the Gino dance in a close second, and Stern calling Pierce "The Truth" in third.

What an experience.  Wow.

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!
God bless and good night!

Much Respect to us ALL!  It's been a long 22 years.  But now, things are as they should be in the basketball world.  The Boston Celtics have defeated the Los Angeles Lakers for the NBA Championship.  Let Celtic fans across the world enjoy this.

Just got back from the game, and I have to say, I have never experienced anything anywhere close to that.  The energy throughout the game, the level of noise, and the pure joy running through everyone in that building was indescribable.

  • Let's Go Celtics
I'm as biased as they come when it comes to the Celtics.  However I don't care how much of a homer I am, no one can tell me that the Garden wasn't the best building in the NBA this year, especially in the playoffs.  It's not a coincidence that the Celts had the best record all year long at home.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

the crowd was great. I very much enjoyed the "Where is Kobe?" chant.

Oh Absolutley, I think the whole league can give the garden props for that one! The fact he had to stop talking at one point because the boo's were to loud was the best!

Probably not going to do the celtic's any favours in the long run though lol...

don't be fooled - it takes 5 baby.

in all seriousness, as long as he's raking in the dough, which the boston sports constituency will continuously shell out to him, he'll continue to do boston as many favors as is necessary to maintain their allegiance.
God bless and good night!

that "hey hey hey goodbye" might have been the loudest thing I've ever experienced. As soon as I got home tonight I rewinded it to about 4:30 left in the game to listen, WOW. I've never heard fans so loud on tv. Absolutely unreal. We should all be proud of ourselves as well as the team.

I stamp my seal of approval on this comment aswell!!! What I would have given to experience that game in the flesh!
