Boston Herald report 15 minutes ago said he either flew back on red eye last night, or took plane this morning. If the latter, I would be concerned. Anyone know?

To get here anytime before 11am, it would necessarily have been a red-eye. It's about a 5-6 direct flight. Factor in the 3 hour time zone difference and you're looking at 8-9 hours - minimum. When I flew to Boston last week (from Portland), I left PDX at 11pm and landed in Philly at like 7:30 or 8am. Then hopped a quick flight to Boston.

The earliest morning flights leaving most airports start around 6am. If he left at 6am this morning, he wouldn't get into Boston until after 2pm.

Red-eye flights suck. I don't care if you're flying first class, they sap energy out of you for the next day.

According to the globe, Ray took a red eye and returned @ 7 or 8 am.
