Is it just me or does it seem like everyone in the media has converted and is now saying that the Celtics are the better team and that it's a matter of "when" not "if" Boston will win the title? While I'm happy that they're all seeing the light, they all make it sound like it's a done deal. I hope they're right. I'm confident that our players are NOT going to take this game lightly. But still, I'm a little nervous about tonight (Perk's shoulder, Pierce's freshness, Rondo's ankle/mental toughness, KG stepping up, Allen's family issues, etc.). The media don't seem worried about this stuff. And that makes me a little more nervous.

I'm a little nervous yet optimistic and reasonably confident at the same time. Needless to say, I feel like I need to puke.

If Kobe believes it, why shouldn't the media?
Yup

This just shows you the media doesn't know anything about basketball (they change their mind so easy)

media reports the best story, not thier feelings on the matter.

going in "kobe > mj!!!!@!@!@!@" was the best story. now, with it the celtics looking good "team truimph!" is the best story.

trust me, if the lakers somehow won game 6 (which won't happen) all we'll get is "kobe is jesus! all hail the laker comeback!!!"

I agree that there's at least a sense that the media HOPE, if not believe, that kobe can bring the lakers back.

of course, nto only does that give them endless MJ comparisions to go back to, but it ties in nicely with the jealousy of boston angle that plays up to the rest of the country.
