Doc Rivers has become not a very good communicator he’s become a great communicator too his team throughout the play-offs.  Doc has been that one voice in the huddle.  He’s been that one voice before, during and after each game.  If any coach has willed his team to victory it was Doc Rivers in game 4 of the finals.

However, tonight Doc Rivers does not have to give a pre-game speech.  All he has to do is write on the white board “48 = Larry O’Brien Trophy”
I would actually have a picture of the trophy instead of writing Larry O’Brien Trophy but you get my point.

This team doesn’t need to be reminded how great of a home team they’ve been all season.  What they need to be reminded of is just how close they are to being champions. 48 minutes of great defense, 48 minutes of ball movement, 48 minutes of punching the Lakers in the face and they will be Champions.  It’s simple and to the point Doc all the team needs is a 48.
