According to the latest poll on ESPN 54% of the country believes that the Lakers will win Game 6 tomorrow in Boston? Am I missing something here or am I just a blind homer ? Did the Lakers not just struggle and have to play ballz to the wall to sneak a victory, actually 2 victories in LA ? What makes people think that they can come back to Boston and win. Mind you KG has had two horrible games and the Lakers still could barley win. Again perhaps I am a homer and want to see the C's win it in person (wont be able to sleep tonight), but I cant see Kobe and the rest of LA circus coming to Boston and forcing a game 7. Your thoughts gents  ?????

Injuries.  I'm worried about us being able to pull it off without any inside presence as well. :(

Well, I think part of it could be the homer perspective.

Part of me thinks that some of the country sees the tide turning towards the Lakers.  People see the blown Game 4 and come to the rationalization that the Lakers could very easily be up 3-2 this series.

I was assume the Kobe influence is still in play also.

(BTW, I'm not buying any of that, just trying to come up with an explanation.)

On the most recent version of the poll I looked at, it was 51% Lakers, 49% Celtics, with 24,882 votes cast.

As of my most recent look at the poll:

5,530 of those votes came from California, where 77% of people voted for the Lakers.  Only approximately 2,000 people have voted from New England.  That explains your disparity.

Of the 50 states, only 10 are predicting the Lakers: California, Michigan, North Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, South Dakota, Idaho, Nevada, Alaska, and Hawaii.

The Celtics lead in 36 states, and 4 states are tied.

Totally agree with Roy's post.  I also think that the injuries are playing into this, as well as the fact that the Lakers are the "glamor" team.  I am trying not to buy into this, but the injuries and Rondo's poor play really concern me.

Violet Palmer, Ken Mauer, Joey Crawford, Benny Salvatore, Ed Rush, Dick Bavetta (I guess, now)

Pick any 3 and you'll have a terrible game!  I'm sure we'll be dealt the worst hand as well in Game 6, we'll pull through though,
Who said the East was the JV conference? See you next year, Mr. Bryant!

Most of those states have less than 100 votes so far.  Regardless, go vote, people.  I don't want to lose to those tools in tiddlywinks.  No poll, no game, no nuthin.  Vote.

In case anyone missed it, it is now Celtics 60%, Lakers 40%

CA and Alaska are the only locations supporting the lakers.
