Why discount regular season wins at this point?

While I do not consider regular season games to be a good barometer for post season match-up results, I do not see why people should discount those games on the basis of the Gasol trade.

In the first 2 games, we have seen that the Lakers are soft. Replacing Bynum with Gasol doesn't help that. We have also seen the Celtics locking up Kobe in the playoffs the same way they locked him up in the regular season.

The Lakers over 4 games have yet to show that they can match up with our physical play and strong defense, with or without Gasol.
