I was just wondering - who would want us to beat Lakers? (among fans, of course)

Timberwolves fans because of KG I suppose, Bucks and Sonics for Ray

If we add Lakers rivals Kings, Suns, Spurs, Jazz and Clippers (?)

Now, who would be happy for Lakers team to win it?

Memphis because of Gasol? LOL

Nets, Knicks, Sixers, Raptors ??

I think it's an interesting topic, it's just a hard one to answer.

Most likely, Celtics, Kings, Suns, and Twolves fans are on our side.  Perhaps Milwaukee or Seattle, as you mentioned, and maybe the Blazers, for residual hatred towards the Lakers.

They've got Lakers, New York, and Philly.  Maybe Chicago, if they still support Phil.

I think the rest of it is a toss up.  We'll pick up a lot of plains states, due to Paul Pierce's playing days at Kansas.  Maybe Louisiana for us, because of BBD.  The Bay Area could be interesting, because of Powe, and in-state rivalries with the Lakers.

Derrrr...Everyone hates the Lakers.  How could anyone like them?  Even their own fans, deep down inside, really hate them, they just don't know any better.

Just have a look.  How could you not love this?
Yup

I don't know about you guys, but whenever I watch the playoffs.  Once the Celtics are out my second choice is nearly always someone in our conference and sometimes in our division.

My thinking behind this, is that I always feel I want a team that is related to us to win to quiet down people who say "the Atlantic is terrible" or "the Western Conference is superior to the Eastern Conference."

Thats just how I always think about it.

Memphis's management certainly wanted to see the Lakers win...

Utah and San Antonio are definitely with us.

I live 50 miles from San Antonio, and almost everyone seems to be for the Cs. The Lakers aren't real popular around here.
