Jeff Foster isn't a free agent at this point. He has a player option for next year at 6mil. No indications he's opting out. I don't expect him to opt out either. He should be targeted as a FA signing if he does.

I'd love Foster to come aboard, and I would be surprised if he doesn't opt out.  He's not young and he's not a star, but he's a pretty [dang] good rebounder.  I'd be surprised if he ended up signing anywhere for less than the full MLE, doesn't seem like he's risking very much by walking away from $6M.  I haven't seen a full list of who's going to be a free agent, but he'd certainly be near the top of the list of players discussed here.

Not very many players mentioned in this thread who seem like they'd be a good fit.  Maybe Duhon, maybe Barnes.

Has Buckets EVER played on a team with a winning record other than that monstrosity here that blew up in the playoffs?  Isn't it telling that Miami - in hardcore tank mode - didn't feel the need to invent an injury for  him?  I have a real, real hard time seeing KG being stoked about getting his old teammate back.

Posey's got to be re-signed, and if Eddie House DOES walk, the player that I think is the best fit as the third, combo gaurd off the bench is our boy Delonte.  Make him an offer, see if Cleveland bites.  He'd be a great fit playing behind Rondo and Ray, and we know he's got the competitiveness and the cajones to do pretty well on a bigger stage.  I'm just not sure how much Cleveland's in love with him; I suspect you're looking at the full MLE for maybe three years.

Anyone think PJ Brown's coming back?  It wouldn't surprise me in the least for him to "retire," only to be coaxed back out come next All-Star break.  He's been awesome in the playoffs, you just wonder if he could keep it up playing 15-20 minutes a night for a full season.

EDIT: Diop might be a nice fit as a backup 5; his skillset seems to be pretty similar to Perk's, but you can always use another rebounding, defending big.

My earlier list factored in guy's i think we could get; Guy's I'd LOVE TO add but who i think we don't have much shot at:

Gomes -- i think he'd be great with this team but MIN can offer much more; not impossible since he'd be closer to his family

Dooling -- good Defensive backup PG, but just about a lock to resign w/ ORL unless we overpay (not worth it i think; would be if there weren't guys like House or Lue out there)

Grant Hill -- can't see him leaving PHO where he's finally gotten healthy

Delonte West -- he played so well with CLE in the playoffs and you could see that LeBron actually trusted him.  They'd be insane not to match any offer.

Diop -- he was on my list but i think either NJ or another team (ORL, DET, even DAL) will give him more $ or be able to guarantee more mins. DET or DAL could give him the MLE, don't know he's worth quite that much.

Pietrus -- See Diop. I think he'd be a good ins. against Posey leaving, but he'll get more money + minutes elsewhere.

PJ BROWN --- i think he enjoys being around these guys a lot... he might do what Horry's done for the last few years... be with the team the whole season, but just play every 4th game or so to stay sharp, then ramp up mins if needed in the playoffs.

Forget everyone else listed.  Just turn PJ into a vampire or something.  I've loved his game for years and I was happy he finally came off his salary expectations and signed with Boston.  He's turned into another nice anchor for our second team, like Posey.  I wouldn't mind PJ helping Clifford Ray out some either.

I think Antonio McDyess will be a free agent. I like him in the C's rotation. Assuming PJ retires again.

Nope, he re-upped with Detroit for two more years.

I was reading about the Pistons new coach on Espn.com and this quote got my hopes up that they would let him go.

"Curry might not coach all of those players next season because Dumars publicly put his whole team, other than Rodney Stuckey, on the trading block last week when he fired Saunders."

They have to resign Posey, who has a player option that he almost certainly will exercise.  After that, they won't have enough money left for most of the other players being discussed here.

as for pgs the guys id like are tyronn lue and jwill. was always a big fan of jwill in sac.  but i wouldnt be averse to letting pruitt have a go either i loved ricky davis here and wouldnt mind him again but i think it would just cost too much. but i would definitely love for us to bring in a young athlete that paul and especially ray can tutor. i wished geralds first year with our team wouldve been this year. this is the kind of team i wished he had learned from.

as for wings i just assume draft one like rush, douglas-roberts of bill walker from k-state

Since I still believe the Celtics could use a scorer off the bench and Gerald always seemed like a kid with a nice stoke I,d be up for inviting him to play on their summer league camp.
Maybe being out of the league will increase his work ethic.
I think I heard that the Celtics will not have a summer league team this year. There is no point to it.
