I can't seem to shake the fact that right when RAllen started to gain his game back, the Cs started to click offensively.

Well, it seems pretty obvious to me that a Ray Allen who is making his shots gives us a better chance to win.  He was a big part of both of our last two wins.

You may be joking, but I think you're right.

The better question is - where was that sleeve for the past 7 months??
God bless and good night!

Maybe the last month, but in the regular season, Ray was very good.  I'm not sure what type of expectations people had for him, but he had his fourth most efficient shooting season of his career, and was extremely good on defense all year long.

i think we can look forward to more of the Ray Allen that we saw all season and has started to shine through of late, but there is going to be a big question about who guards Kobe.

Jackson likes that big lineup of his with Radmon, Odom and Gasol all being 6'10 or bigger. and that lineup absolutely killed Denver. they had Carmelo guarding Kobe, so AI or Carter was on Radmon. that was a nightmare.

Ray on Radmon is not as absurd, but it's less than ideal too...but we also have Posey to deflect mismatches..

Phil also likes Vujacic and that is a good matchup for Ray IMO

i love the chess match of the Finals...

Roy, be real, Ray MIAllen was AWOL after the all-star break.
God bless and good night!

After the all-star break, Ray shot 48.7%, and 44.4% on three-pointers.

If Ray had shot that for the year, those would have been career highs.

What are those numbers like when you take away layups and dunks?

I'm pretty sure layups and dunks don't affect the 3PT%.

when Ray's shot is on, the other team becomes preoccupied with him, and functions poorly on D. They also have to play 1 man down on the offensive end, because Ray D's up a lot harder when he's making plays on the offensive side of things (which is only natural. Every time I make a shot I get a huge adrenaline rush that carries me through the next two or three minutes on the court).

I only know, when I played(again, on my level), when my team was putting out the defensive effort AND everyone who I suspected to be able to shoot it well when the rock was passed to them, hit a high percentage, I gained confidence in my own shooting and this breaks the will of opponents.

Similarly in reverse, working hard on defense then not shooting well tends to be a buzz kill for confidence in my own shots(more pressure(?)), as it really distrupts ones "zone" of confidence...

And this too is where the referee calling stopage really use to irk me, as did trash talking too etc...

So, in reply to the poll, I voted "trend"!

I was wondering if he put that on to say "pass me the ball at this level." Not too high or too low so I can just catch and shoot.
