Anyone else miss the NBA on NBC?

I know I can't be the only one that absolutely hates the coverage ABC/ESPN gives the NBA.  Their analysts have gotten better IMHO but their broadcasts lack the excitement that the NBC broadcasts used to have. I think most of it relates to the theme music NBC used to play as well as the way they marketed the games.  I wish ESPN/ABC would take a page out of their book.

Since I lack cable, heck yes. I also miss the music they had. It was like the NBA version of the Monday Nite Football theme  :(

Yeah i do! when they used to play that theme music i would get pumped to be watching NBA playoff basketball!

ABC has really butchered the NBA coverage . . . they turn every Finals into some pop culture marketing scheme.  One year its Justin Timberlake, next it's ****cat Dolls and Black Eyed Peas . . . get back to the Roundball Rock . . . call up John Tesh and get the licensing agreement done.  Also, get Breen off the mic and hire Marv Albert or Bob Costas and the NBA will return to the glory days.

ABC stinks. I miss the NBC theme music and Bob Costas. If I have to hear that Def Leppard song one more time before game time I'll get sick.

Yeah, I miss that NBC theme song........ I miss Hannah Storm and Bob Costas......

Also they made an NBA Jam game called NBA on NBC which was sweet....... ah, the good old days

No. I hated NBC's coverage because they kissed Michael Jordan's butt all the time. I do miss the old days of CBS coverage though!!

I think any channel covering the NBA would've kissed his butt.  He made that channel millions and millions and millions.  The thing I miss about NBC is that great theme song.

Yeah ABC/ESPN is terrible. The NBC music was ROCKIN'! ...at least we still have TNT, with the best halftime crew in all of sports!!! Hooray for the Chuckster!

Why had Hubie Brown been demoted to radio? He and Jeff Van Gundy are the best that ABC has in their stable.

NBA on CBS theme from the 80's is even better, and more appropriate with Celtics-Pistons now and hopefully Celtics-Lakers next week.
