If you are an NBA conspiracy theory type of person, get your popcorn ready and look at the list of referees for tonight.

That's right, it's Salvatore, he of the 2002 Western Conference Finals and 2006 NBA Finals. . .so will this help or hurt the Celtics?

I don't know whether this is good or bad for the Celtics, but it is proof that something is awry with the league when information about the referees is as important as information about whether a star player (Rip Hamilton) will play.
Celtics fan for life.

How about Joe DeRosa on the game. He is the number one referee homer in the NBA. The home team is 51-26 against the spread in games he has reffed.

The title of this post alone just ruined my day.

Salvatore is pathetic.

Its like these NBA officials think the fans are coming to watch them, like they are big shots or something.  its so frustrating, I wish they would just let these guys play the game.

Let both teams bump each other, let both teams but their hands on each other.  Only call the fouls that really truly effect the outcome of a shot or cause a turn-over.

I'm so tired of watching 60 free throws a game, I want the players to decide who the better team is not the refs.

I sincerely hope Salvatore figures this out.

I'm hoping this'll help us - Celtics-Lakers is the dream matchup for the league (and for us).  Hopefully it won't come down to Pierce breaking Rip's nose in the final minute, and Rip being called for the foul, ala Mike Bibby in '02 (well, maybe that wouldn't be so bad  ;)).  I'd like to win this game clean regardless.

Who are the other referees?

Niether one of them better be Violet Palmer or Mark Wunderlich.

I can't make out what either brothers or DeRosa look like, and I've never even heard of Brothers, which leads me to believe that he's a young ref who gets swayed by crowd reaction worse than Leslie Neilson.  On the road, I always want more veteran officials, except for Dick Bavetta.  He wants to be loved by the fans.

Y'all get off Bennett's back.  He did as he was told, now let him go home and chill.
