Great win. Great win.

Ray's back.

The road wins will come.

We need to close out games like champions.

Come on!

I will donate some killer instinct.  Can someone find some extra consistency, composure and focus to contribute?  Or maybe we can trade some lob passes for it . . .

I wanna see the killer instinct in Game 6.  I don't need my body going through another Game 7.

I don't want to be melodramatic. Nor do I want to start another thread on essentially the same topic.

But I do want to explore one point:

Does it make anyone else sick to their stomach that everyone in the world now agrees the Cs lack a killer instinct and that KG shrinks and shrivels down the stretch in close games?

I am a doc supporter, but, you know, maybe he needs to develop a new offense for the last 8 minutes of every game.

Go to ray and paul for one on ones, and let them find posey and house for open Js.

Then again our offense gets stymied by lack of ball movement, and isolation crap might worsen things.

So I return to the fact that this all makes me sick to my stomach.

I have not seen the old Celtics' killer instinct in these playoffs yet.  We have not dominated a team in the fourth quarter really.  I remember Bird, McHale, Chief, and others just destroying teams in the fourth quarter of games in the 80's.  We need that same kind of tenacity tonight.  KG, Paul, and Ray need to dominate in the 4th quarter when it matters most.  Paul looks like the guys most likely to do this at this point.

We have so many holes, especially on offense. It would be and endless thread of things we already know. I know personally I would already be sick from those things if I didn't realize...

I'm only really here now to enjoy this dream. That we're 5 games from a goal that was undreamable 15 months ago.

COME ON CELTICS!

This is Pierce's time to shine.  He's been waiting his whole life for this opportunity.  It's the perfect time to jump on the Pistons ... they may be relaxing early because they are on their home court ... like game 3.  Take it to them early and often Celtics!  Ubuntu!

FORGET SIMMONS! Why bother playing and following sports when the sound of your head is louder then your heart. It's always going to be a bad ending.

WE CAN DO THIS. IT BEGINS TONIGHT.

COUNT DOWN TO 5 MORE WINS.

COME ON CELTICS!

This team has No killer instinct, only an opportunity to close out the 'troit Pistons on their home court and then let the talking/typing heads call it what they will...

C'mon Celts, put 'em away, NOW, with intense and extreme prejudice!

Follow Perkins' example and put it all on the line.  Put this Detroit team away before Billups gets back to 100%

These playoffs have been agonizingly mercurial for the C's (and the fans).  It feels like before every game I am hoping that this will be the game that the real C's will emerge, showing their dominance.  Each game that they show positive signs I am given hope only to be deflated by the end of the game or in the next game.

Once again, I look to tonight for a true statement.  Like many, I am hoping that the ECF really contains the 2 best teams, but I have that gnawing sense that I am just rationalizing, as I am prone to do.  A convincing win tonight would leave me with some confidence and would provide a needed lengthy rest for the C's.

I hate the Lakers so passionately that I am afraid I will be unable to really enjoy the finals (if the C's get in).  I could have accepted a C's loss in the finals to any team in the West, with one exception.  And there they are, just licking their chops and waiting for us.

Chris Wallace -- what have you done?

Let's get 'em tonight C's!!!!

IF they close Detroit out tonight (and thats a big IF) it will not only show the Celtic fanbase but the National media that this team does have the ability to close out teams. They need to come out with energy like they did in Game 3 and not sleepwalking like they did in Game 4.
