OK, so after last night's frustrating performance (frustrating in the fact that I was elated for somethings and banging my head on others) I needed something to distract me.

So, I took the afternoon off and went and saw the new Indiana Jones movie.  Of the 4, this is #2.  What a great nostalgic ride.  Totally loved it.  Obviously one needs to suspend your sense of belief and even then there's a scene or two that doesn't work, but overall a most awesome take.

I am going to hold off on details for now, but looking forward to discussing.

Of the 4, this is #2.

#1 being #1?

Absolutely!  The worst by far being the second one.

I would say the Last crusade-that movie has it all. I was 7 when i first saw it and when that guy ages 100 years in 5 seconds-wow

I best most people say Lost ark though

I liked Sean Connery's whole "Junior" schtick in the 3rd one.

They have done a fabulous job in the latest in tying in the other three.  Very well done.  The original pub was that it was going to tank, but I honestly think that the poor rumors were being spread intentional to lower expectations.  I'd go see it again.

Me too.  He makes the movie.

It amazes me how many Indy fans rank Last Crusade as the worst of the films.  I definitely enjoyed it more than Temple of Doom (which was still a good flick).

I have yet to see Indy 4, but I'm looking forward to it.

I don't know what you're talking about but I saw Indiana Jones Wednesday at midnight and it was TERRIBLE!

I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan and I can easily say that this was the worst of them all.

Why bring a sci-fi/ET element/aspect into it?

It was such a pure series before this last piece of junk.

I think it's the first bad movie Spielberg has ever made.

Seriously, the ending was the icing on the cake of the stupidity that was the film.

Another fantastic trilogy bites the dust.

Are aliens so much more fantastic than anything seen in the first three movies?  Pulling hearts out of people's chests?  Near immortals guarding holy relics?  Religious artifacts of unspeakable power?

Exactly my point! That was Indiana Jones' schtick! It all got ruined by #4.

Respectfully disagree.  That's why they have chocolate and vanilla.  The sci-fi in my mind was so not the story, but I can see why they did it.  Government coverup -- Roswell -- tied into archelogical history.  It worked far more than the second one and the nostalagic side of me liked it -- even if there's a bit of sap.  Can't deny the sap, but after 20 years you can't ignore the old plot lines and it's hard to tie them in without being nostalgic.

Religious artifacts with unspeakable power and sci-fi are pretty much an oxymoron(especially in this movie)

I just saw it and I thought it was all right.  Not anything great, and def not better than the first 2 (could challenge the 3rd one), but the directing was good, the special effects were pretty good and the story wasnt so rediculous (although some people may have already kind of spoiled it on the previous posts).  One thing that was def on my mind is how old Indy looked.  Overall, I would recommend watching it but dont expect greatness.

Whose that doosh, shia leboof, something like that? I hate that guy so much. How was he in the movie? I couldn't think of anyone better to ruin the indiana jones series.
