Not a lot of offense in this one yet ... this type of game favors the Spurs. I think this one will be a battle.

Definitely. I see the Spurs winning the next 2 games at home.

Popovich has done a terrible job in this series. He's playing the wrong players. Horry shouldn't be playing. Jacque Vaughn shouldn't be playing. Kurt Thomas' playing time has been slashed.

Another series where Brent Barry hasn't been playing enough. It's not rocket science when you're shooting 5-20 from three in Game One and 6-23 from downtown in Game Two .... you respond by playing your best shooters. Not guys who are bricking their shots. Why is Brent Barry not playing?

It's time to give Matt Bonner a call also. He should have gotten some tick against the Hornets too. It's nice to have a power forward who can hit a jump shot when Duncan is getting trapped constantly the way the Hornets and Lamar Odom have done over the past 10 games.

Udoka has been slaughtered by Kobe Bryant all season. Why in the world is he defending him still?

C'mon Pop

Yeah, really ... bad assignment for Udoka, and I can't figure out why Pop would put him on Kobe ... WAY over-matched!

It's not like there's some crazy reason for the mis-match that's hard to understand. It's very simple. Udoka is way too slow to defend Kobe Bryant and Kobe is flying by him every time. What's so hard to understand? Why so slow to change up? Bowen's minutes should be matched minute for minute with Kobe as much as humanly possible. Bowen is too important in this series against Bryant.

This matchup lost Game One for the Spurs. Bowen was defending Kobe brilliantly until Kobe got a wiff of Udoka and began torching the Spurs to lead a big comeback.

Pop getting outcoached by Phil Jackson ...... familiar picture.

Just came across a hard-to-find photo of Jordan Farmar as a child ... seems he had an affinity for basketball from an early age, and this proves it:

Since the midway point of the third quarter when the Spurs went up 65-45 the Lakers have outscored them by 54 points.

Four and a half minutes into the second half and the Lakers have already equaled their assist total from the first 24 minutes.

Spurs need to put the hammer down right now ... Lakers are settling for jumpers and if SA has a strong end to this quarter, it should be in the bag, (unless of course they die like they did on Friday ... with a great deal of help from the refs, that is).

Radmanovic isn't doing much for the Lakers right now. Phil should bring in Luke Walton.

I'd like to see Ariza get a few minutes tonight but I understand Phil leaving him out considering he's just back from injury. His movement off the ball is phenomenal, he'd help get some movement going offensively. Defensively he matches up well with all the Spurs perimeter players.

Duncan has 17 rebounds already. That's his average from the first two games in LA in 37mpg. He's dominating the backboards.

Yup ... they needed a big game from him, and better D overall ... still not a safe lead, though, not with Kobe around.

Spurs did well to step up the pressure early in the 4th ... looks like they'll get this one. This is what the C's needed to do last night and didn't, and what made the game much closer down the stretch than it should have been. The Celts seem to have lapses in intensity at the worst times ... one thing about them that baffles me a bit, and makes me question the rotation at times.
