The Pistons are a disease and the Celtics are the cure

As long as they avoid another game 7

Just imagine how intimidated the Pistons would be if the Celtics played game 2 wearing Blu-blockers, while chewing matches, and wearing their secret alternate leather jerseys.

Wow, I am really really hoping this leads to a cliche of posting Carl Weathers/Stallone pics whenever possible for the rest of the season.  If the announcers and Sportcenter can both use the "Celtics drew first blood" metaphor I think we're free to run with it from here on out.

If the C's keep it up, they can eliminate the Pistons.

Very solid win and I am one very proud Celtic fan.

As many have said, it is only Game 1.

I loved Paul's quote "anytine I have the ball ................" that's just great stuff.

KG with one very solid all round game.

Rajon needs to do on the road what he does at home.

PJ Brown?  Who would have thought he would become this important?  Love your work PJ.

If Ray gets his mojo back, we will really be tough.

Go the Green !!!!

See you Thursday at the Gahhhhhden.

Cheers

Aussie

Excellent game by Rondo distributing the basketball, one we need to see more often in this series. Same for Perkins, who was quite relevant defensively and on the backboards.

Defense was outstanding, as was defensive rebounding.

Good night. Never felt seriously threatened.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Detroit should find someone else to gaurd Pierce, cause he's making Tayshaun look slow. After watching that game, you would think people were crazy for saying Prince was the defensive MVP of the playoffs. Once Paul got that first step, he couldn't stop him. Pierce is too quick and too strong for Prince. He did a good job kicking the ball out to KG for open looks once the help D game.

On the down side, Ray looked horrible. He can't blame his teammates anymore cause they got him open looks. He just missed them (badly) or turned them down once his confidence went down. I think it may be time to switch things up. Since game 7 of the the Atlanta series he's shooting 31%. How much longer can you give a guy to break out of a slump? I think the 38 minutes that Doc gave him last night is a little too much at this point.

Pierce was 9-11 from the field inside of 16-feet during game one on Tuesday night, but went 0-7 from 16-feet and out.
