Still can't sleep after that Game 7 - cruising YouTube and started watching the clips of what is now Paul Pierce's second best playoff game: Game 3, 2002 Conference Finals.  Thought folks might enjoy these clips, they make up the entire 4th quarter.  To refresh people's memories, the C's were down by up to 26 points in the game, and by 21 at the start of the 4th.  Pierce was 2-14 from the field prior to this quarter.

After watching these, I have to say I am officially pumped...the conference finals cannot come quickly enough for me...

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2c9pklLtkeE&feature=related

Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSfIAb8G0_I&feature=related

Part 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRkqWMX-Y7E&feature=related

Part 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2D19TpKQJ4&feature=related

Highlights include:

- Maybe Toine's greatest moment as a C - his pre-4th quarter rant in the huddle that got the entire team, and especially Paul, fired up.  Also, a great in-game moment with his clutch block/partial strip of Van Horn in mid shot in the last minute.

- "Brought to you by Bacardi Silver: Your night just got more interesting."  I think anyone who ever drank one or god forbid, more of those can attest to the truth of that slogan.

- Interview with Stern, first line: "Basketball is back in Boston".  False start, 5 years.

- A stunningly low amount of flopping, ie basically none; there's only one charge I can think of, and it was clear-cut.  Amazing how that's proliferated since.

- And of course, the greatest 4th quarter comeback in NBA playoff history, led by 19 points in the quarter by the only remaining member of the team, the Captain, Paul Pierce.  Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of attending the game today and was also lucky enough to witness that game against the Nets as well in person. I will never forget the loudness of the Fleetcenter/Garden during the games. Easily the two best sporting events I have witnessed in person.

And WOW Antoine yelling at Pierce to be The Man that was amazing as well. Of course being at the game, I didn't even know he had done that until I saw the highlights later. I've always felt a little bad for Antoine professionally, even though he has a ring now. He really loved being a Celtic and things just didn't fit after a while. But at least he'll always have that moment and a few others... and the ring of course.

What a great game that was. While it wasnt a playoff game, there was the game against the nets earlier in the year where Pierce scored 46 points in the second half and ot. I wish someone would upload that one. He put on an absolute clinic that day.

Absolutely - didn't witness it in person myself, but with a couple of my best Celtic fan friends - we made a pact after about 3 minutes of the fourth that if the C's won we would take a lap around the block screaming and drinking a bottle of Jameson (as you can tell from the caliber of the idea, we'd already had quite a bit).  I'm proud to say we fulfilled that promise and confused the hell out of two joggers and a dog. Good times.
