It's loss of rhythm and comfort.
C's are getting bumped, held, muscled, slapped, tugged, arm-flipped, etc. and not getting the proper calls. They don't get to the line to establish a rhythm like the other team.
So it's very understandable that when they do take jumpers they feel uncomfortable as the rim looks smaller (especially on the road) and it's basically the only way they can score.
We all know that if you are forced to score by only one means on the jump shot then you live and die by it.
It's very obvious the refs in the last 2 or 3 games are forcing the C's to stay outside of the paint....it's not fear of being blocked that prevents C's to drive.
It's fear of no proper calls when they get fouled and expend lots of energy to get to the rim and then receive contact on top of that with nothing to show for it.
The reason the C's are playing a bit timid and hesitant on offense (on the road) is because the refs put a strap on the C's....that is the only logical reason and it started in the Atlanta series to make a "snooze" 1st round series more exciting - stretch it to 7 games and they will watch or some crap like that.
There is no other reason the C's play this way on the road...even when we signed Sam and put him in the rotation he helped us win on the road so don't blame Sam and his "selfish" shots.
This team is too good to not be able to win on the road...we have an entire season to judge from that.
