How can a team with three superstars not score at least 90 points in the first six games of this series?  Bad coaching, that's how. Doc basically says to this team, "just run the offense, and everything will be all right." Well Cleveland, to its credit, has played good defense, and got us out of our offensive sets. So the onus is on Doc to adjust. He seems incapable of doing so, especially during the course of a game.

Honestly, Doc should be fired if we do not win game 7. Because there is no way this team could go any further with him as coach. None.

Doc really made some questionable choices tonight, but I'd like you to find a better available coaching candidate for this team than Doc Rivers.  No one will keep Pierce and TCIKG in check like Glenn.
God bless and good night!

I would say Jeff Van Gundy would be an ideal coach for this team..... he know's the defense well and is a winner..... and can keep attitudes in line....

JVG for Coach!!!!!!!!

Jeff Van Gundy for coach.

I'm on that bandwagon.

To be honest I think Danny has a man crush on Doc and him winning one playoff series, even with a team that should make it a game within the finals at the least, will be back next year.  Which to be honest sucks.

Good point - I actually like the JVG idea, but I think he publicly stated he's not coaching next year. I guess nothing a little money can't fix.

That would actually be a nice signing, especially if Thibodeau sticks around (they worked together in Houston). I'm all for it.
God bless and good night!

Heard the godfather Hubie say this and it is exactly what I've been thinking.  Basically he said that its on Doc to find the the main guys better shots.  Hubie is usually all positive when it comes to coaches so I was a little suprised to hear him say this.

As much as everyone talks about the home/away difference and defense, its the offense that has gone MIA in this series (and wasn't that great against ATL either).  Doc basically said in the postgame press conference that its two great defensive teams going at it, but I'm not buying it.  We scored 69 freakin points.  Cavs were just an average defensive team (11th in FG defense) during the season.  Doc is supposedly a great offensive mind and this team has the firepower so what gives?  What I saw tonight was an endless series of KG pick and rolls which worked in game 5 but the Cavs were ready for them in game 6.

I think JVG could be convinced to be able to coach 3 Allstars.....

JVG for Coach!!!!!!!! ( This should be the chant at game 7)

  • 7 + 11 = 18
Doc proved it himself when he played Eddie House last night, and House responded not only on offense but he didnt let anything past him on defense + he was grabbing rebounds.

He never should of changed the lineups so drastically going into the Playoffs.

Either Jeff Van Gundy or Tom Thibodeau. But only if we lose Game 7.

So far, both Hubie and Tommy has put the job of adjusting the offense on Doc.
