So here is what I want to do for my bachelor party next year and I need some advice on dates that might work.  I want to make it to a C's playoff game and watch a Red Sox game as well.  So here are my questions:

When does the baseball season schedule come out?

and more importantly what date do you think the C's will play next year?
I'm assuming they will have home court first round.  After that though it gets tricky.  Do playoffs start the same week every year?  What day will the second seeded team play vs when the first seeded team play?

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Dude, there's no way to plan that this far ahead.  The Red Sox will clearly be playing from April to September next year, but the Celtics, that will get difficult to plan it now.  Plus, it's rare that the timing will work where you actually get the afternoon Red Sox game and the prime time Celtics or vice versa.
do it

Just do it next weekend instead.  You could always pass it off as a "trial".

umm, my suggestion would be ............. don't get married.  Skip the marriage thing all together - but hey, that's just me talking.

No reason why you can't go to a Sox game and a Celts game on the same day without getting married - in fact I think you'd enjoy them more.

Just trying to help, no need to thank me.

I don't think there's any way to really plan it ahead, either.  I mean, what if the Sox are on a 12-game road trip next April?  You never know.

It's a great idea, but I think it's one of those things that has to wait at the very least until the Red Sox schedule comes out.  Then, you see if they're playing an afternoon game on a weekend, and you hope that the Celts are playing that night.

Roughly, playoff games start the same time every year, but it's hard to tell when a team will play its first playoff game (ie, could be Saturday or Sunday, etc.)

One thing to remember is that the Sox are always in town around Patriot's day (April 20 next year) so that may be a good bet for you.

speak for yourself...my wife and i just celebrated our 10th year anniversary yesterday and i wouldn't trade her and our 4 children for the world.  i think the whole "bachelor party" thing is overrated and unnecessary.  :)

Your sarcastic cutting words regarding my desire to keep this between us convinced me otherwise....not sure if was [negative] comment or the others, but you convinced me that my efforts were indeed a bad idea.
