Great start for the Cavs, but the celtics are better in the long run, which is what matters more.

I can't decide whether this is one of those good game (Bos)/bad games (Cle) or if this matchup is further apart than I initially thought.

The Celtics defense on LeBron James has been far superior than I expected.

..... This game is all but over right now. Gives Cleveland a chance to try out this smaller lineup with Bron at power forward, let's see if this works, if it does we'll probably see it in game three.

The celtics have had a pretty good game, but the cavs havn't played great, mostly because of great ddefense on Baby James.

Man just look into LeBron's eyes on those close-ups. He looks so lost and dejected. I don't think anyone has ever really effectively stopped him, and gotten into his head this badly. Crazy stuff.

As I said in one of the Atlanta gamethreads, Cleveland did us a favor by knocking out the Wizards. Cleveland doesn't match up as well against us as Washington would have.

We're small right now, let's see how this works out.  Ray's shot is looking good.

I am really glad that Ray's shot is falling, good to see him bounce back.

If those outside shots start going down its a completely different ball game. The celtics D is in his head right now.

Deffinitly true, the cavs helped us out there, i was not looking forward to a Washington vs. Boston series by Cavs vs. C's is much better

Yeah let's see.  seems odd going small with Cassell, who tends to slow things down.  our momentum may carry over from the 3rd.

Wonder if anyone on that Cleveland bench is wondering why Ilgauskas is having his second great game, and Lebaby his second awful one. I hope they never realize that the Celtics are more than willing to let Zadrunas Ilgauskas try to win games for the Cavaliers, if it means taking Lebaby out of the game.

They won't go down because there's no rhythm to them.  This is what people don't understand about the Celtics' D all season, and why teams always seemed to play bad when they played against us because they suddenly can't hit open shots. We take teams out of their comfort zone and their rhythm, that's what a good defense does and why people can't hit those open jumpers.

Ray has really stepped it up in the 2nd half, 0 points in the first and 16 in the second. This 3rd/4th quarter greatness is because of Ray's nice shooting.

OK, granted this game is very fresh in my mind, but this might be the best basketball the C's have played all year.

Solid effort all way around, and yeah, finally the jumpers are falling as we knew they would, eventually  ;D

James should begin to put on his show, ummm, anytime now... To little to late, though...
