This is a bit of an exaggeration, especially in this game.  He was playing with one starter and the rest bench players.  He is the second scoring option in this unit, and only took 3 shots in 7 minutes.  One acceptable complaint would be that you don't like how he moves the ball, but criticizing him, in this game in particular, for looking for his shot only and shooting it everytime he touches the ball is highly inaccurate.

I think he is the prime example of Doc jumbling up a rotation that clearly worked during the regular season, so that does draw him more ire than he probably deserves. However, I have felt this every time I've watched him not just this game he doesn't run the offense because he believes he is the offense. All the shots he takes are ill advised (especially when he's in with the starters). As an example of how much I dislike his shot selection I was yelling no at my tv screen when he was jacking up shots in the fourth quarter (he made most of those shots).

I messed up with the quote thing, half of that is what I said. I don't think he should be in now (that being said if he hits both free throws I might give him a break)

haha after a game like this...gotta give it to the man, he hit shots that we needed to win the game.

i still am not in favor of playing him extended minutes all the time though  ;) but you gotta ride the hot hand!

now, what was with paul, ray and lebron? too much air in the basketball or something?

Is anyone questioning the non use of House anymore?

Tonight is the reason Sam was brought into this organization. To help win playoff games because he has ice water in his veins when it comes down to having to win in the playoffs.

10 out of the Celtics 23 points and 2 big important rebounds, especially the one before the non  technical against Big Z.

He might just be the reason we are up 1-0.

Between Sam's launching of those "Houston Rockets" and our 'Big Game' James Posey, I think our bench rotation is doing all right.

I think people also need to realize that the regular season and the playoffs are two different beasts.  House looked good in the regular season because for the most part teams weren't pressuring our second string point guard, teams weren't taking our second team seriously, and in general, defenses were more lax, allowing for the free flowing offense that the second team produced all year.

Please understand, that's not going to happen in the playoffs.

Now everything matters, teams play tight D on all possession, and our "second team" (though usually at least one starter is usually on the floor) isn't getting easy shots.

This team needs someone like Cassell that can create offense out of nothing.  They don't need a guy like House who can't handle the ball, can't create offense, and is really only effective if he's wide open.

I appreciate what House did for the C's, but Cassell is better and it's certainly not worth bemoaning the fact (as someone did in this thread) that he might not be back next year.

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
definetly cassell is better
and I am not going to jump in the discussion again

he simply shows what some have been praying here
he will be a LOT more valuable during playoffs
this will be the team Doc will play every other 4th quarter

Posey, KG, PP, RA and SC
nothing more nothing else

Works today
hope it works all the way

Nice day

wow ... when i first read the thread title me answer was simply going to be "me", but after reading some of the sam supporters replies, i might be turning. I still say play rondo, but I guess with the ridiculous games ray and paul were having you had to go with cassell,.
