I think people also need to realize that the regular season and the playoffs are two different beasts. House looked good in the regular season because for the most part teams weren't pressuring our second string point guard, teams weren't taking our second team seriously, and in general, defenses were more lax, allowing for the free flowing offense that the second team produced all year.
Please understand, that's not going to happen in the playoffs.
Now everything matters, teams play tight D on all possession, and our "second team" (though usually at least one starter is usually on the floor) isn't getting easy shots.
This team needs someone like Cassell that can create offense out of nothing. They don't need a guy like House who can't handle the ball, can't create offense, and is really only effective if he's wide open.
I appreciate what House did for the C's, but Cassell is better and it's certainly not worth bemoaning the fact (as someone did in this thread) that he might not be back next year.
