If ever there was a time when our Celtics needed us, this is it!  Anybody got ideas for chants to rouse the C's and get 'em pumped for wailing on the Hawks tonight?

I nominate U-BUN-TU!  The guys in green seem to really dig the idea, and imagine the whole place shaking to it?

U-BUN-TU!!!

U-BUN-TU!!!

U-BUN-TU!!!

Any other thoughts?

How about

'Beat the Hawks'

'Remember who you are'

and if the unthinkable happens,

"Fire Doc" as the players leave the court with the heads hung low.

Hey awesome call on the Ubuntu chant. It works on so many levels, but the most important: let's get back to how we started

We could all throw up "the threes" and chant "Blood Sweat Tears."

I always liked a good old fashioned "YOU STILL SUCK" chant.

But let's stay positive here.  I think the dancers should go with a traditional cheerleader routine.  Pompons and all.  Put on some old fashioned cheerleader sweaters with a big knit C on the front. Bust out those megaphones.  Turn off the jumbotron.  Turn off the PA.

ROCK THE HOUSE!

GIMME A "C"

GIMME AN "E"

GIMME AN "L"

etc..etc...and so on and so forth
Yup

It might be kind of a stretch but how about when zaza pachulia comes in we chant "Tsakalidis is better" or even "Tskitishvili is better"

A fine suggestion.  It might take an awful lot of pregame prep though - getting the crowd tutored on how to properly pronounce the names etc..., but it would definitely rock the Hawks to their core.  They'd have to be intimidated by that sort of commitment to chanting excellence. :)

There's still time to tape Big Baby giving the pronounciation lesson... alright folks, let's get there early!

  • Let's Go Celtics
How about "please dear god celtics win this game"....is there anyway we could get that into chant form??
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

I think the U-BUN-TU chant is a great idea. This team need to be reminded of what the word really means.  Also I wouldn't to get a "LET'S GO CELTICS" chant going 30 minutes before the game and throughout the player intros.
