A bit of repeat here, but:

Music: Saturday Night Fever or Pulp Fiction

Score: Last of the Mohicans and/or Star Wars
Celtics fan for life.

Smokey and the Bandit? I love East Bound and Down.

I too love these:

Saturday Night Fever
Forrest Gump
Pulp Fiction

But where's the love for:
Grease (okay I was 14 when this came out and had a HUGE crush on Olivia Newton John)
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue... natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it's an emotional response. No. Not vengeance. Punishment.

  • Hinrich sucks, Deng sucks, Bulls suck, I'm out.
I don't know if this counts, but Concert for George, The Last Waltz and Festival Express.

The only one I don't own (as a dvd) is Festival Express, and [dang]... I wish I did. I'm not even a big Dead fan, it's just a great documentary.

Oh, and I forgot The Karate Kid.
Seriously, BananaRama doing Cruel Summer and that song "You're the Best, Around!"
HA HAHA! ;D
As far as playing, I didn't care who guarded me - red, yellow, black. I just didn't want a white guy guarding me, because it's disrespect to my game.

I forgot

The Harder They Come

TP

You win in my book!!  I have been talking about this topic since Saturday's rain dealy and totally forgot one of my favorite albums of all time!!!  Amazing reggae, run out and get it if you don't have it!!

Thanks. When I was a much younger man, we used to go to the mid-night showing of it on most Saturday nights. I wore the grooves out on the album( yeah that's right) album. I have it now on CD. My 21 year old son really liked the CD and bought the DVD a while ago. The movie is just not the same on a TV without a bunch of people, but the soundtrack is still great.

My vote is for the movie Snatch. Amazing soundtrack

I'd give an honorable mention to the Friday soundtrack.

I'm pretty sure this has not been mentioned:  the soundtrack to The Mission is unbelievable (it's Ennio Morricone).

Also, I'm a big Elliot Smith fan, so I've got to give it up to Good Will Hunting.

Others I really like:  Swingers, Philadelphia, I am Sam (all Beatles by different artists), Jerry Maquire and Dan in Real Life (Sondre Lerche is [dang] good).

Agreeing with a bunch of others on Garden State, Reservoir Dogs, Trainspotting and Tejada Dey Come.

He's done some great soundtracks.  Cinema Paradiso was beautiful by him, too.

Anything by John Williams, especially Star Wars (I keep hearing rumors he ripped stuff off but then never hear the originals)

DANNY ELFMAN RULES

Godfather
Gladiator
Clockwork Orange
And I liked the movie Amadeus and what they did with it.

wow this thread is back.

since my last post, i've heard the soundtrack to 21 and that was very good. so was death proof and the departed,

i have to give an honourable mention to the scrubs soundtrack too - i know it's not a movie, but the choice of music is always perfect and varied. that show never lets down.
