Wow.  To reach FL's ratio, I would need 2655 TPs!  :o

Anyone else near 100, 200, etc?  I've given two folks their 100th TP today, and I'm willing to do it again.

(It's eternal good will for whatever folks got me over the 500 hump.)

i am ten away from 100 tp's. not asking for sympathy tp's, just answering ur question.  sympathy tp's are welcome tho...LOL ;D
There, gave you one before I went to bed...What am I doing awake anyhow?  GN
Yup

My man Dark Lord, I see you nearing 100.  I saw you at 95 early today, so I was thinking I'll just give you 5 TP's to get you over the hump and for the honor of giving you your 100th.  Little did I know I could only give 1 TP an hour.  Anyway, I gave you your 96th and now 98th, but I just know Roy Hobbs is out there lurking somewhere waiting to undercut me on giving you your 100th. After all Roy did proclaim

But don't worry I'll be checking back later to help you reach your milestone.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Darn you wdleehi, it's on now!  >:(
lol, you know it's a good site when people are rushing to give others Tommy Points. I so feel the love in in here right now :-*
(I always wanted to use the kissing smiley face, I figured it didn't get too much use on a site like this, until now). :-*                                                               :-*                                                               :-*

The clear standard of excellence (as noted in the Pulitzer Prize winning "Greener Posters: CBlog's 100 Greatest") is to maintain a 10:1 Post to TP Ratio (TPR).

As an occasional poster, I have always been proud of sporting a solid TPR.  FL is certainly the Bob Gibson (circa 1968) of TPR, while unnamed others wallow in a dearth of recognition.

I would also like to give credit to those mega-posters who are less likely to sport high TPR. Much like Antoine Walker heaving voluminously from beyond the arc with occasional success, these prolific pontificators are often of great value to the blog, but will always have a more challenging road to high TPR.

Some might say there is greater value to quality over quantity; other may argue quantity over quality.   While both add value to this medium, it is a rare but treasured poster who provides both.   TPs galore to those precious few.

I think the 1:10 TPP (Tommy Point Ratio) is a pretty good standard to aim for. I like your analysis. Volume shooters who tend to put up more material hoping something sticks will have a lower percentage oftentimes.  Sometimes you make a big post too that gets multiple TPs, those are like hitting a game winner...Oh TP for you for the awesomeness

Hmmm...kind of like Craig Biggio getting 3000 hits or something

I feel so inadequate with my 1 in 10.68 ratio now (of course it just went to 1 in 10.69 with this post - for real)

I haven't been that active in the past (doing my best to change that), but right now I'm sitting at 1 in 7.83 posts.  I kind of broke out of my midseason slump (I was stuck at 1 TP for about two and a half months).  We'll see what happens.

I had a response to that but I didn't want to ruin my ratio.

DOHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
