Joe took him?! Where!
I thought Hugo played well until Joe took him and forgot about him.
this is what I've been saying about the trade and mentioned Edgecomb specifically as another player asset that Brad should have gotten from Philly. The pick situation is a joke.QuoteI will say, I still think the Jaylen Brown trade was idiotic, and I'm not a huge Paul George guy at this stage of his career considering also his injury history/durability issues (including the suspension last season).
BUT I've been pleasantly surprised. He's fit in nicely with the team and has great chemistry already. And he's been awesome on the defensive end, carrying over from late last season. He's putting up 20/6/5 now but even if he consistently is around the 16/5/5+ range that'd be nice.
Tatum has quietly looked MVP-caliber so far
He has been great, and not the problem. My issue I have with the trade is lack of draft capital or not getting another player like Edgecomb.
Feel like the Celtics need to rest PG13 for this one. Thought they would have held him out vs Orlando so that he could play against Houston. Will be interesting to see what Joe does.
He should either sit out or be limited to 20 some odd minutes...
Only if you move Bird to the 4. Otherwise, Tatum isn't cracking the starting rotation. Tatum has already surpassed Truth, though.I don't think he's passed PP at all. PP used to be the top of the league in 4th quarter points and was a clutch scorer - moreso than Tatum has shown. to be fair, I think part of the issue with Tatum's clutch scoring is the coach he's playing for. both played in 2 finals and PP didn't shrink in the spotlight unlike Tatum in the finals against GSW.
PG - Cousy
SG - Hondo
SF - Tatum
PF - Bird
C - Russell
My sentiment would be that Jayson Tatum just misses out on the best starting five in Celtics history.how the hell do you have DJ in the C's top 5? No knock on DJ but there's a number of other C's guards I'd put ahead of him. Bob Cousy is clearly the number one PG this franchise has had. I'd also put Mchale over KG as the starting PF. KG didnt' spend enough time in green to get that honor -- most of his best years were in Minny.
Dennis Johnson
John Havlicek
Larry Bird
Kevin Garnett
Bill Russell
