Looking at the schedule, I think the team can go 82-0.
I assume the games with a (T) in parenthesis mean TNT, while the (A) means ABC. That means only 12 nationally televised games, which seems very low. But then I notice it doesn't look like anything on ESPN, so that will probably bump it up a little more.
-
Nothing I would call killer stretches. Late December might be as close as they come to one; MIL, CHA, PHI, @HOU, @MEM, @SA in a 10 day span but none are part of back to backs.

Ugh 27 is a lot. I pay for the league pass so I prefer hey not be on national television because I don’t get Mike and Tommy/Scal.
Plus my local games blackout LP which is another 8 games (assuming no games vs Knicks or Nets are nationally televised) and whatever random games NBATV pick up along the way, I’ll be lucky to get them for half the games.
EDIT:
Just looked on NBA website, it’s a whopping 39 national games including NBATV.

Not much to complain about with this schedule. We get all four California teams on the same West Coast trip, first in Northern CA then heading to LA, with an off day between the Lakers and the Clippers.
Also, it looks like the schedule is ending a day earlier for everyone, creating an extra day off between the regular season and the playoffs.

Dang, Lakers @ Celtics on a Thursday night in February.
Celtics @ Lakers on a Saturday night in March.
What a strange schedule considering no Celtics/Warriors or Celtics/Lakers hype.

That Lakers @ Celtics game falls on the trade deadline. Will be interesting to see what Lakers are even on the roster then.

I like how the season starts for us. A home opener against Philly and then playing in Toronto three nights later on the FIRST night of a back to back could allow us to set the tone for the East from the get-go. Be nice to have wins against our two main rivals in the East within the first four days of the season!
It certainly can’t be worse (knock on wood) than how the first two games started last year...
-
It’s amazing how the league sets up its top teams lol This might be the best schedule the C’s have had in a long time. West coast road trips are all broken up into smaller ones now. No stretch that stands out as brutal.

Prediction, feeling overwhelmingly homesick, the Lakers send Lebron back to Cleveland at the deadline.

Celtics went 0-2 losing Hayward in the process before winning 16 straight games. Those were the weirdest days.
-
I wonder if Celtics will retire KG’s number this season or what until next season to let Minnesota do it first (I assume they will this season).
-
ooh, they think we are a top team. from first glance, we have only 3 early games IIRC, one at 12:30, 3-ish, and 2:30pm. I only went down the list once but I don't remember any more than those... 6pm EST or later is what I love!
-
That stretch coming out of the All-Star game might be tough (especially when the C's send 5 players to the game ;)).
6 of 7 against likely playoff teams, and both HOU and GS in a 3 day span.
7 of 9 adding in the Lakers game, so a 4 game stretch over a week against HOU, GS, and LAL. That game against SAC on 3/6 looks like a trap game if I ever saw one.
-
IT day will be March 18th, unless he’s traded again.
-
Exciting year. I always hit the Phoenix game here every year. Can't wait..
-
not happy playing Utah twice, both second night of a B2B

How is it that the schedule has been released for over an hour already and there's still no blog topic for it on the main page?

Could be a crazy trade deadline for the C's as well depending on how Danny feels about the likelihood Kyrie resigns.

Because it doesn't meet the criteria of a click bait headline like Horford coming off the bench? :P

I count 13, and I think the league average is 13.3, so no real benefit/loss there.
But maybe I just can't count (possible), or maybe he's missing the back-to-back on Nov 30 and Dec 1 since it spans two months, I know I missed it first time.

Yeah, that’s just not happening.

What has it been in years past (dating back to Big 3)? If that's possible, would be interesting to see he dip and rise.

Apparently the Sixers have the exact same number 27 plus 12 on NBATV.
Lakers lead with 42 national games including NBATV. Its going to be horrible having to listen to all the Lebron and Lakers media hype. Really hope they get off to a bad start.
-
27 national TV appeareances?? UGH. :(
More listening to Barkley hate on the Celtics and the ESPN crew slurping on Lebron's Lakers & Embiid's Sixers and not Boston ::)
And yeah I agree with @tazz, I hope the Lakers get off to a bad start, because boy the drama that would occur would be INSANE!
