Some last minute PR to try to maintain some sort of leverage in trade talks, as everyone knows they want to move Love.

Bc they want to tank for the number 1 picks in the 2019 and 2020 drafts

But Love wants to go where LeBron goes.
-
Yeah not buying it either. When LeBron bolts the Cavs will be a dumpster fire. Holding on to your biggest asset makes absolutely no sense.
-
The Cavs should bite the bullet, and when LeBron leaves, trade Love+8th pick for Grizzlies 4th pick and Parsons. Eat the contract for two years, but you'll have a young nucleus of Nance/8th/4th pick.

The treadmill of mediocrity is where you don't want to be in this league & that's exactly where CLE is headed if Lebron leaves and they keep Love & company around.

Love + 8 is way too much value for 4 + Parsons. Love for 4 + Parsons seems much more reasonable.

I think this just reflects that they think Love can rebuild some value if he's allowed to handle the ball more and shot create. Whatever offers they've gotten for him must be pretty "meh".
