In terms of Celtics opponents, the 1980s and early 1990s Pistons.
How is this even a debate?

Celtics-Lakers 80s is one of most heated rivary in sports history..

Showtime Lakers, followed by the Kobe-Lakers, followed by the Jerry west Lakers. I can't remember the Mikan-Lakers, but I give them a break because they were in Minneapolis where there are atually many lakes.

Lakers for me, thought I hate all teams not Celtic to some degree
-
09-10 Lakers and it's not close. Kobe, Bynum, Artest, Odom, Fisher...I get nauseous even typing those names..

These two for me. Probably hate the Pistons more, just because of their outright thuggery.

That's not the question you asked though.
Even back then, Larry and Magic filmed that Converse commercial, and we knew there was a mutual admiration and respect.
None of that existed with the Pistons.

The thug Pistons - Laimbeer, Mahorn and Rodman - hated them and still do - then add the asswipe Thomas - Oh God....

A poll could make things interesting

This for me, too, but I started watching in '01 so I didn't really experience the Bad Boy Pistons or the Lakers rivalry in the 80's.

The late 80s/early 90s Detroit Pistons.

I don't have the energy to hate sad teams like the Hornets, Kings, or Raptors. I just pity them
-
08-09, 09-10 Lakers. Ugh, losing to that triangle offense orchestrated by Phil Jokerson.
Also 2011-2014 Heat, 2015, 2017, 2018 Cavs.
-
I can only speak to the team I hated most at the time when the Celts were playing against them ...
I think it's probably those Cavs teams from '08'-'10. The Celts beating the Cavs in 2010 is probably the Celts' victory that I cherished the most.

Tp!
showtime lakers i respected
Pistons we a dirty team, isiah a PUNK, still hate him

I starts following the C’s in 2001 so it’s no doubt the 2010 Lakers.
That game 7 loss will stay with me until we raise #18 like we should have done in October 2010.

Kobe Lakers and not just bcs of their competition with the Cs.
Kobe might be the only top 10 player I dislike.
And since we are at it, he's not top 10.

Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Byron Scott, Cooper, Rambis.

Lakers. Every year since the start of time.

It can't be. Hands down the worst...though Curry evokes the same amount of contempt as Isiah Thomas and his cocky smirk. But they also had Laimbeer and future statesman, Dennis Rodman...

1. 80s Lakers
1A. 80s/90s Pistons
3. 2008-present Lakers
4. 80s Sixers
5. Lebron teams
6. Any Knicks team

MJ, Bird, Magic, Lebron, Russell, Kareem, Chamberlain, Duncan, Shaq, Oscar, Hakeem. There's 11 that I think are no brainers ahead of Kobe. After that, there can probably be debates but I've still got him around 20ish. At this point, I've got Kevin Durant over him.

The Sixers in the 80s!

Yup the Pistons for me. As a kid on my wall I had a ton of Celtics stuff. The only non-celtics stuff on my wall was a picture of The Big 3 and Laimbeer that was titled 3 Men and a little baby (after that movie) and then another picture of Bill Laimbeer in a hand-drawn jail cell by me..I wish I still had those....

80's Sixer-Celtics. They were ugly....
