Title: Moving on to the World Cup
Post by: Amonkey on May 28, 2018, 11:23:04 AM
Obviously last night was extremely disappointing. It was a great run but I was hoping that we'd continue with our quest, especially since it meant finishing LeBron James path to another finals. The good news is that our C's are looking good and in a few months we'll see this team plus KI and GH.

Now looking ahead, at least there's a quick turnaround for the World Cup. I know there's no USA but as a Brazilian, I am looking forward to redeem ourselves after an embarrassing loss to Germany in the last WC. My wife is also French and my son is just old enough to get into the games. This will be time to share his pride in being Brazilian and French.

What about you guys? Who else is looking forward to WC?

Yes. Very excited for it.

Most excited for Spain's and Brazil's teams. They have looked great in qualifiers.

Go Germany! Go Netherlands! Haha I'm not a soccer person but usually root for those teams in the WC.

Getting ready for football season.

Taking a break from sports ....  I'm sure when the WC rolls around I will be interested in the event

But right now the Bruins/Celtics playoff run/shortcomings took alot out of me.

Go Germany

I think cutting Sane was idiotic. They don't seem very strong this time but they always reach the semis so you can't rule them out! Unless there is a surprise its England vs Germany in the quarterfinals... Can't wait for it!

Spain looking for a coach 1 day before the world cup is another huge story! I thought the Catalan players would have had a problem with him signing with Real but it looks like the players tried to convince the Spanish Association to keep him.

I still have no clue why Sane was dropped! Crazy to me
