Very little mention of Lebron possibly having a concussion after almost breaking Tatum's should with his big jaw last night. Originally referred to as a neck sprain. Rewatching it this morning his jaw and head go around, his legs go out from under him and we walked delicately back to locker room with a dazed look on his face.
What is concussion protocol for NBA? Do the cavs only check this?

I was wondering about this myself. It didn't look too good. I didn't really care about whether it impacted his play or whatever, but from a player safety standpoint it seemed dodgy

I agree, he looked very dazzled after the hit from Tatum. I think the NBA concussion protocol is only triggered if a concussion is ascertained by the team doctor. After the game, James told the media that he was checked for multiple things and that he passed the tests:
"I was checked for multiple things and I passed," James told reporters in the postgame presser. "That's why I was able to come back and finish the half."
Therefore, I doubt that he will be put through the NBA concussion protocol.

I heard one commentator on nba tv (Antwan ?) say having played with Lebron and how tough he is he was surprised he took himself out and must have been shaken.

Either way he is going to wake up sore
