Title: Time To OFFICIALLY End The Anthony Davis-To-Boston Dream

I mean, I knew the chances of getting him were slim the entire time the rumors existed (less than 5%), but now it should officially be 0%.

I'm actually fine with that. I think we have a great team and deep team as is, and now we just have to hope we can stay relatively healthy going forward. I think our dynasty begins next season for sure, and it will be a long term and consistent dynasty that's hopefully similar to the Spurs.  8)

Trading for Davis and his current salary would have meant gutting our team, so in a way it's probably wise we just keep our current core, maybe add some solid depth pieces (w/exceptions and draft picks) and go from there. I'm also super high on Brown and Tatum, and excited to watch them lead us to a banner count above 20!  8)

I've always thought that the chances hovered around zero. Is there something that happened recently that made you post this?

The team played too well recently for Davis to want to leave.

Ugh, there aren't any odds or anything involved. And there would be no way for you to calculate it. Why can't AD still come here? Why are the odds 0? Anyone who makes it out of the first round means they'll be on that team forever?  :o

Yeah, I think he could make some noise in New Orleans.

Does anyone reckon an S&T of Cousins and picks (whatever else) for Leonard could happen? Probably not SAS’ ideal trade, but I would love Kawhi on that team. 3 All Defence guys who can score easily sounds awesome

New Orleans drafted him. Hope they keep him. Good for the league. We have enough talent. Well eventually get a great big with all the draft capital.

AD just won a playoff series in the brutal West. He'll want to stay with the Pelicans.

If he gets past Golden State, for sure he'll be their franchise player and retiring with the Pelicans and not go anywhere else!

Cousins can't play with Davis. Its a bad fit. Notice how cousins goes down and the pelicans go on a good run, getting into the playoffs and sweeping

Cousins is garbage

I am sure Pop is just bursting with excitement at the prospect of coaching Cousins  ;D

But, yeah, Kawhi and Davis on the same team would be killer!

AD were never close to reality anyway. Let's just draft our own stud big in 2019.

Are you a Celtic fan? I always wonder when posters dream up great scenarios for opponents.

AD's been going supernova after Cousins went down though (so I've been reading anyway, don't really watch other teams).

It would be a fun team to go up against in the Finals, except maybe a bit spooky

I would love to have Anthony Davis, but not at the expense of our young talent. I would trade Kyrie Irving for him in a heartbeat, though. I have made known my concerns about Irving as a team-first guy previously.

He's far away from us now just as he was last year. 1 round of playoffs can't change a lot. He won't be contender with Pelicans.

what?
Blazers-Pelicants are probably two worst teams in the playoffs, look at their bench players, it's not even funny.
Congrats to the Pels for sweeping the Blazers, but they are in line to get swept by the Warriors, second year in a row.
Davis is a beast, no doubt, danny will probably take a poke at is for sure

When did Davis demand to play for a contender?  The team has finished the season very strongly and I’m sure that means a lot to Davis.  If they struggled and missed the playoffs or got swept in round 1 Davis would be much more unhappy with the franchise and more likely to look into leaving the team.

Waiting for the Cousins lovers to start coming up with the threeway trade of Kawhi to NOP, Tatum and parts to SAS and a signed &traded DeMarcus to BOS. God, I just threw up a bit in my mouth.
