There are not many humans on the earth that could defend Curry in that situation. I thought Bender did fine. Made him hit a step back mid range jumper. Curry hit it as he is a generational shooter but what would any big do in that situation? If you let him drive, someone probably picks up a foul so the best outcome is to make him shoot and play the odds that maybe he will miss.

It would have been better if Bender got a hand up to defend the shot. But yeah, Curry is a mismatch for about 98% of NBA defenders, and keeping Curry in front of him was a decent job. Maybe next time he’ll get a hand up to contest the shot — at his size he doesn’t need to leave his feet.

Yeah, it was weird. He stayed in front of him well, if he just kept his hands up he might've been able to contest.
