Title: Anyone else tired... (Low percentage shots)
Post by: CF033 on January 23, 2018, 11:36:27 PM
Of teams jacking up really low percentage shots near the end of quarters in the name of 2-for-1s? I'd much rather them just try to get a good shot and leave 3 seconds on the clock for the other team. It seems to rarely ever pay off.

That shot by Kyrie was incredibly stupid.

But the Lakers shot 36 free throws, we shot 10.

The fix was in.

Free throw disparity was a product of us taking way too many jumpers and then extending the game at the end.

Though officiating was similarly trash on both ends.

Tired of this team's lack of consistent effort and play?

Yeah, I'm getting there. They're reminding me more and more of last year's team every game.

If you're tired, I suspect the team is too.  They really seem to be in the midst of a slump.  Got to 30 wins by January as a young team that nobody expected to do much after Day 2 of the season.  I think it's caught up to them.

I haven't had much pleasure from watching them lately.  I think it may take the All-Star break for them to get back into it.  I hope that's what'll do it, anyway,

we lost by 1 point...Kyrie got fouled while shooting a 3 in the first quarter...JackassRef didn't give him 3  free throws, ball out of bounds...I knew we would lose then.

Just as I said month ago. He thinks he's Kobe. That's how he's acting at least.

25 fouls called on us, 16 on the Lakers.
Lakers taking three steps before dribbling with no call.
The fix was in.

I've noticed this happening a lot lately.

Sigh, I've been saying this for a month. This teams offense is just weird to me. Too many shots for the wrong guys. No cutters, players just stand outside the paint waiting for 3's...no one cuts through the lane, backdoors. I don't get it.

Don't get me started on Smart and his shot selection. How does Tatum play 30+ mins and get 4 points. SMH

The team has been playing hero ball and I'm not sure why.

im just a fan ,  im paid nothing ,  not gonna expend too much emotional energy on things i have no say in

CBS job to motivate and have the guys play right.

Leave it up to the coachs to do their job.

Randle walks three times on every play. He's worst than Lebron.

I think this is about the 3rd or 4th time (over past 3 years) that he trusted his teammates for 47 minutes and 56 seconds. Then, he forgets what passing is all about when there is a breakaway situation at the end of a game. This is fundamental basketball....

NOT true!!  We got fouled plenty in the paint with NO calls.  If we breathed hard on a Laker, they were shooting 2 at the line.

50 3's vs New Orleans

33 3's last night vs LA

That is a ridiculous amount of 3's. Need to get to the rim

No if you are open from 3 shoot it, the law of average will handle the rest

I'm tired of them jacking up 500 3s again. Attack the rim. Get to the line.

Who is getting to the rim besides Kyrie? Brown and Tatum can’t finish anymore. Horford lurks around the arc. Smart does whatever Smart wants. I guess Rozier is the only guy I still see attacking and breaking down the defense, sometimes.

We are a good shooting team, so I don’t mind the threes when they are good looks. We have become a three point shooting team and you know the saying... live by the three, die by the three. We’ve lived off it all season, and currently we are cold and getting killed by it.

Since we returned from London, we have looked like last years team. Hoisting up bad shots, giving up timely offensive rebounds, and overall lethargic when no reason to.

I hope it’s just a mid season slump. They lost a couple close games when an opposing player had incredible performances (Kuzma and Davis)... we lost to Philly without Kyrie, whatever. The Orlando loss was pretty inexcusable though.

lol yall love blaming officials.

We played Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ty and lost. Officials sucked both ways. Its s weak move to moan about officials. Why would they have it out for us? makes no sense.

The Lakers also missed a metric s*** ton of free throws.  We were lucky to be as close as we were.
