Tempting on what terms though? What has Bogut done to warrant this discussion? This guy is finished. I'll keep Baynes over him, and would gladly look for another scorer, or floor stretching big than Andrew-freaking-can't-stay-on-the-floor-Bogut.
People forget we went after him many times, and he also chose the freakin' Lakers over us. Man !@#$ that guy.
Not to mention we also went after him before he signed with the Cavaliers, and guess what? Breaks his legs 4 days later in 56 seconds of gameplay... So no thank you. His DPOY and interior presence days are far and long gone.
-
Would be something an irrational Celtic's fan would say. Please don't waste a roster spot on him. I'd rather have them convince Greg Kite to come out of retirement first.

good points haha.

Good Greg Kite callout. I’m going with Rick Robey, tho.
-
I’m always pining for a Michael Olowokandi return. I’ll take that corkscrew jumper any day of the week yo

Thank you I still like Bogut, but at least Nader can play. Bogut will be my 3rd string center on 2K  :police:
-
Prob going to the Cavs or Warriors to compete for a title
-
He will sign with Cleveland or warriors
-
Plus he pick Cleveland and Lakers over us last 2 times
-
He could still set some nice illegal screens and offer some level of Baynes insurance.
Still not interested. He just isnt good any more.
-
Bogut's done.
-
My back and knees hurt just thinking about signing Bogut.
-
I'm hoping they release Brewer and we pick him up. He not great but I like him and his hustle. Still solid IMO. He's not my first choice but I have always wanted him on the team!
-
Don’t want him. Don’t really care where he goes.
-

I think Eric Fernsten is the way to go. He's more used to a bench role. The other guys might get ideas that they deserve to be starters. ;)
-
Onl;y possible reason to pick him up is for Baynes insurance. And maybe some solid vet leadership for playoffs. I mean, we're talking about the #15 roster spot.
-
Acie Earl and Eric Montross are also available. Should we sign them too?
Forget Bogut, he was cooked last year. Now he's just rotten meat.
-
No thank you
-
soon To be found at your favorite Aussie golf course .......or pub.
-
If he's not good enough for the Lakers then he's not good enough for this team.
-
If he's not good enough for the Lakers then he's not good enough for this team.
Did he even get on the court for The Lakers?
-
Let's go get him. We wouldn't even have to use the DPE on him if we waive someone.
If we waived a 2-way contract, I think that would create room.
-

Don't really agree with this. A struggling team like the Lakers have little use for a veteran big man that is coming to the end of his career.
If healthy, I bet he could give the Celtics 10-15 minutes per game.

Did someone say Rick Robey? At least he brings the beers....

That's not how 2-way contracts work.
We'd have to waive a guy on a real contract
-
Could maybe do a three way contract with Australia
-
I think that his chances of becoming a Celtic are even less than his 12% career 3P%.
-
If he's not good enough for the Lakers then he's not good enough for this team.
Yeah that's not really the case. They never give him minutes because behind Lopez, Kuzma, Nance Jr and Randle there aren't many minutes to go around. The youth movement in LA is why he doesn't get minutes. His rebounding and high post playmaking is still really good, as is his rim protection.
I think that his chances of becoming a Celtic are even less than his 12% career 3P%.
Lol, is this supposed to be some critique of a defensive rebounding big man? That he can't shoot 3's?
-
I wonder if he is worth getting at all.
-
He is pretty shot, only 9 mpg this year. So I would pass.
-
His only real value now is his ability to defend certain types of big men and there aren't really that many we're going to come up against very often.
He did do fairly well defending Joel Embiid in short spurts this season. I don't think it's worth signing him just for that though.
-
I wouldn't mind having him on the end of the bench as insurance for Baynes/Theis. Let's say the playoffs we have one of those guys down would we prefer Yabu or Bogut? I mean I certainly wouldn't use the DPE on him but can we replace Bird or Allen on the bench?
-

We wouldn’t have to waive anybody yet, as we’re only using 14 roster spots.
I’d be fine signing him to a 10 day contract and getting him in for some practices.
-
I feel our needs are a high scoring bench guy (Gerald green type) and a big. Bogut is a very good high post passer, rebounder and defender. At a price I'd want him. Not as starter or backup. More a need a vet fill in
Horford, Baynes, Theis and 2 of those guys play more pf
-
Is Bogus important to defend any prominent big from Toronto, Washington, Cleveland or GSW? No.
Would he hurt them in offense? No.
Pass.
-
I'm up for Ben Pepper the Defensive Wonder from Australia! LOL!
-
No reason the Celtics can't take a look at him. They should absolutely kick the tires on this older Australian Ford 550 that could break down at any time, but also could come in handy at the right moment.

Ugh you are going to make me try to get this; vareculiatos
If bogut plays 10 minutes in certain games in playoffs at a price he's worth it

Picking Bogut up for nothing is a no brainer unless Danny wants to keep that space open for someone he's planing on but even in that case cutting Bogut is really easy and really low cost at the minimum.
