Since he first entered an NBA game, the Celtics have not lost. They haven't even tied. Coincidence? Highly unlikely.
Please use this thread as a safe space to discuss what you'll do with your free time when the league folds after no one can beat Yabu.

I will resort to playing Pokemon Go
-
I'm moving back to Maine and starting a theme park where black bears I've trained to do the macarena entertain Celtic fans looking to see an old fashioned dancing bear.
-
Just bumping this to note that Yabu is now 16-0 and resistance is futile.
-
I will move to a pastoral setting and begin tending to a flock of animals, naming them after French basketball greats
-
But what's his +/-?

But what's his +/-?
+/- 2 supersized Value meals.

May Yabu bless you and your bucolic retreat.

For some reason when I think of Yabu, I think of this.
He's better than the average bear!!!

We need more posts like this.

But what's his +/-?
+16-0. Enough said.

Now that Semi's shooting numbers have come back to earth, and we still sorely lack 3 point shooting prowess, I expect Yabu to start to get some minutes soon, especially if he can hold up his end defensively. Still have hope this guy will pan out for us.

Let's not understate his contribution. Let's go to the numbers:
Record: 16-0.
Per 36: 20/13/1.4 Pts/Rbs/Asts.
PER: 18.8 (3rd on team)
Win Shares per 48 minutes: .205 (3rd on team).
Darkhorse ROY candidate?

LOL, that's like saying the Bulls won the NBA championship in '98 because of Joe Kleine. Nope Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman had nothing to do with it. It's all thanks to good old Joe Kleine!
Yabu has barely gotten his huge butt off the bench. He still has potential in him, but honestly I've seen a lot more basketball ability out of 2nd round pick Semi Ojeyle!

Oh, I'm pretty sure that he was totally serious. And I agree. According to one source, he's the early leader for Time's Person of the year. In China, 2018 has been reclassified as the year of the Yabu. And rumor has it that, after he's done with the NBA, he's going to be named ambassador to France.
Don't underestimate The Bear.

TP, agreed. Vjcsmoke was definitely joking.
In my mind - and I think most people's minds - Yabu has surpassed Marcus Smart as the player who impacts winning regardless of their role.
-
17-1, get this bum off the team.
-
While some "haters" may disagree, Yabu did not even play in the Miami loss, so blaming it on him would be absurd.
And there's a good chance he learned - and taught - some important lessons about winning from the bench that night, so it's honestly pretty biased to call it a "loss" for him at all. Let's move on and continue to appreciate.

I appreciate it, but please don't speak for me, I am extremely serious. I'm already getting a lot more done in a day now that I don't have to watch the games.

Thank you! Agreed. Some people just don't get how intangibles can affect a game.

If Yabu had only been given a chance that night against Miami...

What could have been...
However, all of the TRUE greats have been able to make an impact even when they aren’t in the game. The fact that we still lost doesn’t mean Yabu isn’t an all time great, he just may not be a top-10 all time player like many think he is. IMO he’s still first ballot HOF without a doubt

Another DNP for Yabu, good to see Stevens keeping our secret weapon safe for the playoffs.
