Title: The Celtics have $8 million to spend. Who should they go after?
Post by: Chris22 on October 18, 2017, 02:41:10 AM
With Hayward injured, the Celtics will be able to apply for the disabled player exception. That would give them up to $8.4 million to pursue a player before March 10. With an open roster spot, the Celtics can sign, claim, or trade for a player with one-year remaining on his contract.

Hold the exception to wait and see if anyone worthy comes off the waivers.

Could also trade for someone with 1 year left on contract. Jabari parker has 1 year left and couldn't reach a deal with the bucks. Smart and 1 future 1st rounder for parker Realistic? Lol
